📌 Project Overview
Exdion is a key partner in the U.S. Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry, specializing in driving technology-led transformations for brokers through the ePLMM framework. The goal of the project was to reduce the time and complexity involved in policy creation and management. By introducing an Excel component functionality and integrating OCR document upload, we streamlined the entire process for users, allowing for easier policy applications, renewals, and better management of policy details.
I led a team of developers in designing, developing, and delivering scalable full-stack applications while ensuring that the development activities were aligned with project requirements, goals, and timelines. I developed responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React.js for brokers to manage insurance policies and built RESTful APIs using .NET and Entity Framework to support data communication between the frontend and backend. I also implemented an Excel component that streamlined the policy creation process and improved the overall efficiency of the application. I was involved in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure the reliability and functionality of the developed features. I worked closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions.
As part of the Exdion re-architecture, I contributed to transforming the existing legacy application into a modern microservices-based architecture. I migrated backend services from ASP.NET Web API to Python FastAPI and implemented asynchronous background processing using Celery and RabbitMQ. I also worked with Prometheus and Flower for monitoring and managing background tasks. I containerized the microservices using Docker and deployed them on AWS Amazon EKS, later supporting the migration to Amazon ECS to simplify container orchestration and deployment management.
